After more than two decades, Lufthansa has decided it's time to update its uniforms. The airline has introduced around 40 updated as well as entirely new pieces aimed at cockpit crews, cabin staff, and ground employees. The new design revolves around the company's iconic signature dark blue and iconic yellow.

The new collection, revealed amid Lufthansa's 100th anniversary, was officially introduced during a fashion show at the airline’s “Hangar One” visitor and conference center.

Employees were asked to test different styles and decide which one were most comfortable, functional, and sustainable, contributing to shaping the final designs.

Lufthansa partnered with fashion house BOSS to create a lineup that best reflects both the airline's heritage and a more modern, forward-looking identity.

One of the standouts is the cape meant for cabin and ground staff, a nod to the airline’s history, while also signaling a bold step into the future.

The collaboration also marks the beginning of a longer-term partnership between Lufthansa and the luxury brand, emphasizing precision, quality, and timeless design.

“Our new uniform is far more than just clothing,” said Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines. “It represents who we are and serves as a promise to our guests worldwide, standing for quality, reliability, and the unmistakable Lufthansa style.”

James Foster, SVP Global Marketing at HUGO BOSS: “By combining our tailoring expertise with Lufthansa’s operational know-how, we’ve created designs that deliver on quality, durability, and a shared commitment to excellence.”

Beyond aesthetics, the new uniforms were developed with sustainability and flexibility in mind. Employees will be able to mix and match new pieces with existing ones, reducing waste while allowing for personal preferences.

The rollout will begin gradually in the fourth quarter of 2026
