Photo: Shutterstock "I haven't heard something so fake in a long time, and there have been a lot of fake news recently." This is how the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, responds this evening (27/1) to a publication in Israel stating that "Gazans who wish can settle in Albania".
According to the Albanian Prime Minister, as you may recall - a country with a clear Muslim majority: "I have full respect and solidarity for the residents of Gaza who have been dehumanized by the rogue Hamas regime. But let me be clear - Albania has not been asked by anyone, and we cannot even consider taking on any such responsibility".
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Albanian Prime Minister stands unequivocally with Israel. "We are proud of our strong friendship with Israel, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and also with the Palestinian people, whose state Albania recognized a long time ago. But Albania is not in the Middle East, and we cannot do more than any other European country on the matter".
Rama concluded his remarks by saying, "We wish and pray for the Palestinian people to be given the opportunity to live in their own state, as free people under democratic rule, and that Hamas will not be able to harm Israel again - or firstly the Palestinians themselves".

Additionally, Albania will be the main sponsor of the ITB international tourism fair that will take place in Berlin this coming March.
