The United States Department of State has issued an update to its travel warnings, clarifying that countries classified as Warning Level 4 are considered particularly dangerous, and that travel to them should not be undertaken under any circumstances.
The State Department noted that travel warnings are divided into four levels, with Level 4 being the most severe. This decision is based on local security conditions and the limited ability of the United States to provide assistance to its citizens in these countries.
The list of countries at warning level 4 (“Do Not Travel”) includes, among others: Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Russia, Ukraine, Syria, and Yemen, along with other countries in Africa and Asia.
The official announcement emphasizes that these are destinations where the risk is particularly high, whether due to armed conflicts, terrorism, political instability, or the lack of ability to provide consular assistance.
The US is urging citizens residing in these countries to consider leaving as soon as possible, based on their personal assessment of the situation and safety conditions.
