Royal Caribbean Expands into River Cruising with a New Luxury Subsidiary.

Royal Caribbean, the parent company of Celebrity Cruises, is making waves in the cruise industry with the launch of River Cruises, a new subsidiary dedicated to luxury river cruising.

As part of this expansion, the company has commissioned 10 state-of-the-art Edge Series river ships, scheduled to embark on their maiden voyages in 2027.

This marks a significant milestone, as Celebrity Cruises brings its renowned ocean-going luxury to Europe’s rivers. The new brand promises a top-tier hospitality experience, featuring sophisticated design, world-class cuisine, and curated itineraries that immerse travelers in diverse and unique destinations.

Jason Liberty, President of the Royal Caribbean Group, shared in the official announcement:

We are excited to extend our expertise to river cruising, pairing it with immersive itineraries and unparalleled destinations".

Udi Shnebel, CEO of Sanorama, Royal Caribbean’s exclusive representative in Israel, added:
"Celebrity Cruises' expansion into river cruising is exciting news for the Israeli traveler. River cruises offer an in-depth and diverse way to experience Europe, unlike traditional ocean voyages.
