Low-cost carrier Ryanair reports ongoing growth in April 2026. The airline carried 19.3 million passengers, marking a 5% rise compared to the same month last year.
The company operated more than 108,000 flights during the month, reaching a load factor (indicating how full planes were) of 93%. The figure highlights consistent demand across Ryanair’s European network despite ongoing capacity adjustments.

The April performance reflects a continuation of Ryanair’s steady growth trend seen in recent months. While passenger numbers increased, the unchanged load factor suggests the airline has successfully matched capacity with demand, keeping flights consistently full.
On a rolling 12-month basis, Ryanair carried 209.3 million passengers in the year to the end of April, up 4% from 201.3 million last year. Over the same period, the load factor reached 94%, indicating strong long-term occupancy levels across the network.
The airline also continues to launch new routes. Prague Airport, which is still warning of long traffic delays due to current road resurfacing work nearby the airport, has today on X welcomed Ryanair's new flights from Palermo starting October 25, 2026. The service will be operated four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Tickets are already available for purchase on the company website, allowing passengers to schedule their next vacation to the locations where the popular The Godfather III movie was filmed.
