MSC Cruises today unveiled its latest upgrade to its hospitality experience, MSC Concierge. This is a new, intelligent digital concierge service that will enrich the onboard experience and help vacationers manage their cruise in a simple, enjoyable way.

The concierge will be available 24/7 via smartphone or tablet, using the MSC for Me app. Guests using it will be able to submit requests and ask questions via chat available in 90 languages.

The AI service can assist in a variety of ways, including answering questions, booking services, restaurant reservations, spa treatments, and beach trips, checking account balances, and even helping find the perfect entertainment for every mood.

The tool was developed to complement MSC Cruises’ hospitality, not replace human interaction on board. It is now available on most of the company’s ships, and will be available on all by the end of May.

The service was launched after a successful pilot program that showed a satisfaction score of 93% from more than 170,000 guests who exchanged over a million messages with it. The service does not require a data plan, but is accessed via each ship's Wi-Fi, which is available on board.

The concierge service connects to each guest's booking details, so it is aware of personal booking conditions such as drink packages, booking experience type and cabin type, and can provide accurate and specific information to each guest.

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises: “We are dedicated to offering our guests the ultimate holiday experience across every touchpoint of their cruise. Combining the latest technology with the warm hospitality of our crew, we are enabling guests to personalise their journey like never before, to create an experience which is truly theirs.

MSC Concierge allows guests to access the information they need instantly and make service requests from the comfort of their cabin or sun lounger, giving them more freedom to enjoy their time on board, discover new experiences, and make the most of every moment at sea.”

As we reported last week, MSC has revealed new details about its next flagship, MSC World Asia, which will launch in late 2026 and offer seven-night Mediterranean cruises with stops in destinations such as Naples, Barcelona, and Marseille.

The ship will focus on a large-scale family entertainment experience with the Family Aventura District complex, which will include an outdoor activity park with water slides and rope courses, an entertainment center with Lego, bumper cars and family discos, and a huge kids' club called Doremiland.

In addition, special activities will be dedicated to teenagers such as K-Pop parties and roller skating events, alongside an advanced digital entertainment complex called MSC Luna Park Arena with interactive games and technological experiences for the whole family.
