Turkish Airlines has reported that flight TK726 from Istanbul to Kathmandu was evacuated using emergency slides after smoke was detected in the cockpit area of ​​the Airbus A330 aircraft upon landing.

According to the company's statement, the aircraft, an Airbus A330 with the registration TC-JNP, landed safely at Kathmandu airport. However, during the taxiing, tower crews noticed smoke coming from the direction of the aircraft and ordered an emergency evacuation as a precaution.

The company emphasized that the evacuation process was completed successfully and that there were no casualties in the incident.

It was also reported that an alternative flight is planned, and at the same time, technical inspections of the aircraft have begun by the company's certified crews. According to the initial assessment, the source of the smoke is a technical malfunction in a hydraulic pipe.
