Luxury cruise line Crystal has announced that Crystal Serenity will undergo a three-week drydock refurbishment in October 2026, introducing a series of guest-focused upgrades and technical enhancements ahead of its winter Caribbean season.
Improved Living Areas and Bathrooms
The refurbishment will primarily focus on the ship’s Aquamarine Classic Suites on Deck 10, where living areas and bathrooms will receive new furnishings inspired by the vessel’s 2023 redesign. The suites will retain their spacious layouts and signature separate bathtub and shower configurations, while surrounding corridors will also receive new carpeting and wallpaper.
Several public spaces across the ship will also be refreshed. A brand-new Pool Bar will be added near the Seahorse Pool on Deck 12, improving outdoor beverage service for guests. Meanwhile, the Atrium and Crystal Cove areas will be redesigned with a new marble dance floor, updated entertainment stage, additional seating, and decorative mosaic details inspired by upgrades previously introduced aboard Crystal Symphony.
Additional improvements include renovated waiter stations and refreshed seating in Waterside Restaurant, new chandeliers and tables in the Stardust Club, upgraded furniture around the Seahorse Pool, and renovated chairs throughout the Marketplace dining venue.
Major Tech Upgrades
Alongside the guest-facing updates, Crystal Serenity will also undergo major technical improvements. Planned work includes propulsion system upgrades, stabilizer overhauls, hull cleaning and repainting, as well as new electrical, automation, sound, and entertainment systems designed to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Following the drydock, Crystal Serenity is scheduled to return to service on November 8, 2026, with a 15-day transatlantic voyage from Lisbon to Fort Lauderdale before beginning its Caribbean deployment.
