Delta launches a direct flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne - starting December 2025.
Delta Airlines continues to expand its presence in Australia and the Pacific region with the launch of a direct flight from Los Angeles (LAX) to Melbourne (MEL), commencing in December 2025.
This route joins Delta's existing direct routes to Sydney and Brisbane, expanding the company's range of destinations in the South Pacific to five, including Auckland and Papeete.
The new flight will operate on Airbus A350-900 aircraft, offering four different classes: Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Economy class.
Delta One passengers will enjoy private sleeping pods, chef-prepared meals, luxury amenity kits, and eco-friendly bedding. Delta Premium Select will offer spacious seats with deeper recline, adjustable footrests, and an upgraded service experience.
Passengers departing from Los Angeles can enjoy Delta's premium services at the LAX International Airport, including the new Delta One lounge, which offers an exclusive hospitality experience with gourmet food menus, a relaxation area, and personalized service. Additionally, passengers can enjoy quick passage through security with a private TSA service.
Melbourne is considered the cultural capital of Australia, offering visitors a unique blend of art, music, cuisine, and sports. Visitors can enjoy famous galleries, colorful street art, award-winning restaurants, and hidden cafes in the city's alleys. Nature enthusiasts will find Melbourne to be a gateway to stunning destinations such as the Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley wineries, and Penguin Island.
