Initially, the airline specialized in ACMI and charter operations to popular destinations such as Egypt, Turkey, and the UAE. In 2023, the company underwent a strategic rebranding and now operates under the FLYYO brand, expanding its commercial presence.
This transformation was further strengthened by the airline’s acquisition by the Maiberg family, bringing over 30 years of expertise in aviation and tourism.
Under the leadership of Israeli CEO Ziv Maiberg, the Romania-based airline expanded its workforce, modernized its aircraft fleet, and adopted innovative business strategies.
As part of its ongoing growth, FLYYO launched its charter and ACMI operations in April 2024, marking the milestone with the maiden flight of its new Airbus A320-214.
With a strong commitment to expanding its presence in Israel and offering a robust flight schedule, FLYYO aims to establish itself as a key player in the country’s charter flight sector.
This strategic move represents a significant step that has the potential to reshape Israel’s aviation market and introduce real competition to existing charter providers.
