Hilton announced this weekend the opening of The Derby London City, the new Curio Collection by Hilton hotel. Located in the heart of London's City district, the hotel features 234 rooms and suites and combines contemporary design with elements inspired by the area's British heritage and financial history

The hotel is located on Great Tower Street, a short distance from the city’s main tourist attractions, including the Tower of London and St. Paul’s Cathedral. The rooms also include 13 suites with views of the City skyline. The hotel’s design includes various nods to local history, including the “Treasury Wall” in the reception area – an art installation inspired by the building’s past as a bank.

The hotel hosts a daily “Golden Hour” at 5:10 PM, as a tribute to the hotel’s address at 5-10 Great Tower Street, during which guests are invited to enjoy a daily cocktail in a social atmosphere.

At the heart of the hotel experience is the restaurant, which overlooks the gardens of St Dunstan in the East Church. The restaurant offers a modern take on classic British dishes. The hotel also hosts Mercer's Market, a monthly event showcasing local artists and craftspeople.
