Unusual Incident in Texas: Tesla Drives Into Lake, Gets Stranded in the Water

A Cybertruck became disabled in Grapevine Lake after the driver attempted to use its water “Wade Mode,” leading to an arrest

The Grapevine Police Department (GPD) in Texas has responded to an unusual incident at Grapevine Lake after a Tesla Cybertruck became stranded in the water.

The GPD and the Grapevine Fire Department (GFD) were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered that the driver had entered the lake in an attempt to use the vehicle’s “Wade Mode” feature, which is designed for limited water traversal.

The 6,600-pound truck "became disabled", according to authorities, and was left stuck in the water.

"The passengers abandoned the vehicle and the driver was arrested," added the GPD.
