With a Guinness Record Right From the Start: Snow World Hotel Opens in Shanghai

Shanghai, one of China's major economic capitals, welcomes a new hotel from IHG Hotels & Resorts, the Shanghai Snow World Hotel from the experiential hotel collection Vignette.

Inside the hotel, a unique attraction was established - "the world's largest indoor Snow World and ski facility" which recently received approval from the Guinness Book of Records.

The new hotel features 272 rooms and 17 suites with direct access to the skating area, described there as a "breakthrough development, bringing a new dimension of experiences," including ski slopes, indoor and outdoor water parks, and a competitive ice skating rink. "Apre Ski" parties will be held on weekends.

The new hotel will be open year-round as an indoor ski resort. It is located about 30 km from Shanghai's airport.

And What Else?

Four unique restaurants and bars were established on the hotel grounds, each offering a variety of local and international dishes, and on the 18th floor, with a panoramic view surrounding the hotel, is the traditional teppanyaki restaurant.

On the third floor are eight meeting rooms. Also in the hotel are a modern fitness center and an indoor heated swimming pool.

The Vignette collection of IHG also includes unique hotels in the Maldives as well as CIEL Tower, which will be the tallest hotel in the world when it opens in Dubai, and the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, one of the oldest and most sought-after urban hotels with over 90 years of history.
