Iberia Express is set to return to Israel.
After a prolonged absence, the Spanish low-cost airline has announced that it will gradually resume its Madrid-Tel Aviv route starting April 1.
As previously reported, the airline suspended its flights between Tel Aviv and Madrid due to security developments in northern Israel, repeatedly extending the suspension until March 30.
Now, the airline is set to resume daily operations between Madrid and Ben Gurion Airport. The direct flights will depart from Madrid Airport at 11:40 AM and from Ben Gurion at 6:25 PM. This schedule optimizes connections between Madrid, North America, and Latin America while also catering to local travel demand.
Notably, British Airways, a fellow member of the IAG airline group, has also announced the resumption of its London-Tel Aviv route, starting April 5.
Additionally, Iberia recently became the first airline worldwide to operate the cutting-edge A321XLR aircraft. This next-generation narrow-body jet offers significant fuel efficiency and enhanced passenger comfort. It has already been deployed on transatlantic routes, including flights to Washington and Boston during the airline’s winter schedule.
