Detroit Metropolitan Airport has today, May 29, 2026, announced a disturbing incident at Evans Terminal. Airport officials announced that a vehicle had crashed into the terminal, with police currently at the scene investigating the situation.

There are no "serious injuries" reported, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

In January, Wayne County Airport Authority (WCAA) Police Department announced it was "investigating a vehicle that drove into the entrance of the McNamara Terminal at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) hitting a ticket counter."

The incident happened at around 7:30 on the evening of January 24, 2026. The driver was put under arrest. The WCAA Fire Department treated six victims involved in the crash.
