Kuwait International Airport has resumed all Kuwait Airways flights operating through Terminal 4 after technical teams completed damage assessments and safety inspections, according to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The authority announced on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, that all Kuwait Airways services would once again operate through the passenger terminal following the completion of field inspections and technical evaluations carried out by relevant authorities.

The inspections were conducted after recent disruptions linked to the regional security incident that affected the airport area, prompting precautionary assessments of infrastructure and operational readiness.

The incident caused "serious damage to the international airport and the injury of a number of people, who received the necessary medical treatment," said the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense in a statement.

Passengers are advised to contact Kuwait Airways directly for updated flight schedules and travel information.

"The safety of passengers and employees remains the utmost priority," the authority said, adding that it will continue coordinating with all relevant parties to ensure airport operations continue "in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety."

The reopening of Terminal 4 marks a return to normal operations for Kuwait Airways passengers after the airport implemented precautionary measures while authorities assessed the impact of the recent incident and verified the safety of airport facilities.
