Tel Aviv Among the Leading Destinations from Sofia Airport!

The year 2025 began with a bang at Sofia Airport, with January showcasing impressive figures with thousands of flights and new destinations continuing to attract tourists from all around the world to the welcoming country.

According to the official reports of the Bulgarian Aviation Authority, during the first month of the year:

Departures - 5,034 flights, to 91 destinations in 36 different countries, operated by 35 airlines.

Among the top five most popular destinations in January, Tel Aviv stands out as a particularly important and key destination:

London continues to lead, and Tel Aviv climbs to the top.

Istanbul maintains its place on the list, Vienna remains a favorite destination for classical music and European art enthusiasts, and Milan continues to draw fans of fashion, architecture, and fine dining.

The rise of Tel Aviv in the rankings indicates a significant increase in demand for flights between Israel and Bulgaria, strengthening business, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries.
