On July 18, 2026, TAROM flights 383 from Bucharest to Paris and 384 from Paris to Bucharest will operate under the anniversary flight numbers RO10 and RO50. The airline said the initiative is intended to celebrate Romanian excellence and commemorate the achievement that made Comăneci a global sporting icon.

The airline noted that 2026 has been designated as the "Year of Nadia" and highlighted its longstanding connection with the gymnast. TAROM currently operates the only aircraft in the world named after Nadia Comăneci.

"TAROM's decision to mark the 50th anniversary of the first perfect 10 with the RO10 and RO50 anniversary flights is a gesture that honors and delights me. It is more than a simple anniversary — it is a reminder that excellence, discipline and courage can take Romania far. I thank them for this initiative that keeps alive the spirit of performance that represents us as a nation," said Nadia Comăneci.

"On July 18, TAROM marks a moment that belongs to Romanian sport and the international collective memory: 50 years since the first perfect 10 obtained by Nadia Comăneci at the Montreal Olympic Games. Through the RO10 and RO50 flights, we want to carry forward the symbol of this performance and show, in a simple and visible way, our respect for one of the most powerful images of Romania in the world. It is a tribute to excellence, courage and a story that continues to inspire generations," said Bogdan Costaș, TAROM's General Manager.

The special flight numbers will appear on tickets, reservation systems, airport displays, and all official flight information channels on July 18, 2026.

Nadia was also the guest of honor at the 25th anniversary of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) in Cluj-Napoca, with the opening gala revolving around her celebration..
