Taveling to Europe in the coming days? Be aware of the extreme weather that will hit the continent.
A severe heat wave dubbed the "Heat Dome" is on its way to Europe. Over the weekend and into next week, temperatures are expected to soar to 40 degrees and even higher in some of the continent's capitals.
This is an extreme weather event compared with normal June temperatures. On average, temperatures across most of the continent are expected to reach between 10 and 15 degrees above the multi-year monthly average.
