The company's spa centers offer traditional massages, advanced beauty treatments, a sauna complex, thermal facilities, and a beauty salon. The upgraded MSC Aurea Spa experience will also offer guests a range of luxurious spa treatments, advanced skin care technologies, medical wellness services and personalized treatments. This way, vacationers will have access to one of the most comprehensive health and wellness systems available at sea.
The cruise line has also noted that the expansion of spa and beauty services reflects an emerging shift in the travel industry, with health and wellness tourism among the fastest-growing sectors in global tourism. MSC is responding to this trend with a range of new services to be offered to guests.
The main innovations include:
Medical health treatments: These include intravenous infusion treatments (treatment to introduce fluids, vitamins, and minerals directly into the bloodstream through a vein for rejuvenation purposes), aesthetic injections, dermal fillers, and permanent makeup, performed by qualified professionals.
Skin treatments: Treatments include the use of hydro-microdermabrasion technology alongside skin care solutions from the Opatra London brand .
Artificial Intelligence-Based Skin Diagnostics: Personalized skin assessments that provide tailored treatment recommendations and product selection guidance.
Japanese Head Spa: A relaxing ritual for the scalp and hair, inspired by traditional Japanese health practices.
Professional teeth whitening: Advanced whitening treatments performed by qualified experts using the latest technology.
Hair styling services: A modern grooming experience for men, including scalp consultations and therapeutic scalp massage.
Ear piercing: Safe and hygienic piercing services performed with hypoallergenic jewelry.
It was also announced that each guest will be able to enjoy a selected health tea ceremony from the Team Dr Joseph brand, designed to support relaxation and restoration of strength. In addition, all spa guests will receive a bag with selected products and items, including branded slippers, shaving kits and other wellness items.
Claudio Saviano, Head of MSC Aurea Spa, explained the focus was on creating an experience where every element and detail was carefully designed to help guests relax, recharge, and leave feeling renewed and refreshed.
