Qatar Airways Expands Flights to Cyprus.
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus has welcomed the decision of Qatar Airways to increase its flight frequency from Qatar to Larnaca Airport. This strategic expansion is set to enhance connectivity between the two nations and bolster Cyprus' tourism industry.
Starting from June 24, 2025, until October 25, 2025, Qatar Airways will operate 10 flights per week, up from the current seven. This increase in flights is expected to provide travelers with more options and greater flexibility when planning their journeys to Cyprus.
The airline has also indicated that it will continuously assess market conditions to explore the possibility of further expanding flight operations to and from Larnaca Airport. This commitment reflects Qatar Airways’ confidence in the growing demand for air travel between the two regions.
The Deputy Ministry of Tourism believes that the increased flight frequency will have a positive impact on Cyprus' tourism sector. By offering more flights, Qatar Airways is expected to attract a higher number of visitors, contributing to the island’s economic growth and promoting Cyprus as a premier travel destination.
Shutterstock Beyond tourism, this move is also anticipated to strengthen bilateral relations between Cyprus and Qatar.
The enhanced connectivity will facilitate business exchanges, cultural interactions, and economic collaborations between the two nations.
As Cyprus continues to position itself as a key player in the regional tourism market, strategic partnerships with international airlines like Qatar Airways play a crucial role in enhancing accessibility and attracting visitors from the Middle East and beyond.
