The Singapore Police Force has announced traffic arrangements for the upcoming National Day Parade (NDP) 2026 Combined Rehearsal 1, which will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at the National Stadium.

The rehearsal is part of preparations for the annual Singapore National Day Parade 2026, and will lead to temporary road closures and traffic diversions in the Kallang and Stadium areas.

Affected Roads and Announced Closures

To facilitate the event, several roads and lanes will be closed to vehicular traffic at designated times. These include:

-Stadium Drive

-Stadium Boulevard

-Stadium Walk

-Stadium Crescent

-Jalan Benaan Kapal

Only authorized vehicles, police units, and emergency services will be allowed access during the closure periods. Auxiliary police officers, security personnel, and Singapore Armed Forces marshals will be deployed on-site to manage traffic flow and assist motorists.

Expected Congestion in the Area

The authorities have warned that traffic delays are likely around key routes leading to the Singapore Sports Hub, particularly:

-Stadium Drive and surrounding access roads

-Kallang and Mountbatten approach roads

-Internal roads around the Sports Hub complex

Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced, and illegally parked vehicles may be towed.

What This Means for Tourists in Singapore

For visitors staying in Singapore this weekend, especially those attending events or staying near the Marina Bay–Kallang corridor, some disruption is expected.

The National Stadium is a major attraction within the Singapore Sports Hub and is easily accessible via public transport, particularly Stadium MRT station on the Circle Line. Tourists planning to visit the area on 27 June should:

-Expect heavier crowds around the Stadium MRT station

-Allow extra travel time if heading to concerts, shopping, or waterfront areas nearby

-Consider alternative routes if travelling by taxi or ride-hailing services

-Use public transport where possible, as recommended by authorities

While the closures are temporary, rehearsals for the National Day Parade are a major national event and often draw additional spectators and operational activity in surrounding districts.
