After a scorching week in Europe, the heat wave hitting the continent continues to create problems into this coming weekend. This is a longer-than-usual heat wave for the continent, which, despite many years of heat waves, is inexperienced in dealing with temperatures that in some places reach around 40 degrees.
Let us recall that the heat wave that began last weekend caused real disruptions to daily activities in Europe, including reduced train speeds and timetables in the UK and airport disruptions in Spain. The heat wave continued throughout the week, and after two days of a certain, albeit almost negligible, respite, temperatures are expected to soar once again at the end of the week.

So what's expected this coming weekend?
| Cities | Max temperature over the weekend (Friday-Sunday) |
| Rome, Italy | 36° |
| London, United Kingdom | 30° |
| Bucharest, Romania | 35° |
| Budapest, Hungary | 37° |
| Warsaw, Poland | 39° |
| Madrid, Spain | 33° |
| Athens, Greece | 33° |
| Brussels, Belgium | 34° |
| Zagreb, Croatia | 36° |
| Amsterdam, Netherlands | 37° |
| Vilnius, Lithuania | 36° |
| Paris, France | 37° |
| Bern, Switzerland | 37° |
| Chisinau, Moldova | 34° |
Madrid, which was the peak of the previous heat wave, will "enjoy" only 33 degrees this coming weekend. In Amsterdam, temperatures will reach 37 degrees tomorrow (Friday, June 26) but will cool down a bit over the weekend. In Paris, they continue to suffer greatly with 37 degrees, as will Brussels with 34.
But the peak of the current heat wave is Warsaw, where the forecast for this weekend is that the Polish capital will reach 39 degrees. Local weather websites predict, however, that parts of the city are expected to see temperatures that will even exceed the 40-degree mark.
