The first aircraft to showcase the tribute and recognition to its predecessor, ALITALIA, is a new Airbus A350, operating on long-haul routes, which flew for the first time on Saturday, February 15, 2025, on the Rome Fiumicino - Tokyo Haneda Route.
During the summer season of 2025, the tribute "Inspired by Alitalia" will also be displayed on two additional aircraft: Airbus A321neo, used for medium-haul routes, and Airbus A220-100, operating primarily on short-range routes.
According to the company's statement: "In this way, ITA Airways continues to operate to be the airline of choice for those who not only want to fly to Italy but also carry Italy in their hearts. The Alitalia brand, a key asset owned by ITA Airways, honors the aviation and national history with its pioneering excellence in air transportation... ITA Airways aims to associate the Alitalia brand with its unique logo to enhance its excellence values in air transportation recognized worldwide".
