If in the past we were content with a few slides in water parks, over the years, the slides have become crazy, and the experiences have become much more exciting. The facilities in amusement parks have also become much scarier and more interesting, and the result: a tremendous experience for the whole family.

Quite a few parks have opened in recent years and have become leaders in the field, here are some of the most intriguing and interesting of them:

The Largest in the World: Legoland Shanghai
Shanghai, China

The largest amusement park of its kind in the world. Built from more than 85 million Lego bricks and covers an area of 318,000 square meters. The park, which opened last year and is suitable for families with children up to 12, offers a combination of local culture with the big, well-known Lego brands.
Inside the complex, you will find eight areas, each dedicated to a different theme, and a total of about 75 installations, shows, and events that take place there regularly. One of the favorite areas of the place is the "Miniland" where the city of Shanghai is built from millions of Lego bricks. Next to the park, you will find a hotel of the same name.

Frisco, Texas

Universal is currently opening Universal Kids Resort, the first theme park designed specifically for families with young children. The new park is located in Frisco, Texas, and spans 80,000 square feet.
Unlike traditional parks, which are designed for a wider audience, the new complex offers experiences tailored to little ones, with rides, play areas, and interactive attractions that are the right size and pace for them.

Among other things, you will find here a "world" full of characters from "Shrek", "The Minions", "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Jurassic Park" and more. The facilities themselves include water areas, play activities and interactive experiences for children and parents. A dedicated hotel with 300 rooms and family suites has opened next to the park, offering direct access to the site, a swimming pool and services tailored to families.

Multi-Sensory and Wet Experience: Aquascope
France

Opening as part of the expansion of the long-standing Futuroscope complex in western France, Aquascope water park redefines the concept of a water park through a revolutionary combination of water and digital technology.

The indoor complex, which covers approximately 6,000 square meters and maintains a constant water temperature of 29 degrees throughout the year, has received prestigious international recognition for its innovation. Unlike traditional parks, it offers a futuristic multi-sensory experience in which visitors swim in the heart of spectacular visual displays, dancing fountain shows, interactive light tunnels and underwater video projections that create a feeling of diving into a colorful fantasy world.

The park is divided into several central experience areas that cater to all ages. Adrenaline enthusiasts can enjoy the "Sensations" area, which includes 8 giant, advanced water slides (one of which is unique in Europe), while the "Immersive" area is home to the first aquatic cinema of its kind in Europe, which immerses bathers in waves of effects and light.

For young children, the park also offers a water lab complex and an interactive play maze led by a lovable octopus character. On warm days, the experience also extends to an outdoor complex that includes a summer bathing beach, sun pools, and a dynamic flowing river.

Adventures at Disneyland Bay Abu Dhabi
United Arab Emirates

Last year, the construction of a Disneyland complex, the seventh in the world and the first in the Middle East, was announced on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The location, Abu Dhabi, was chosen because it is a strategic point connecting major tourist markets such as the Middle East, Africa, India, Asia and Europe, with the United Arab Emirates being only a 4-hour flight away from many destinations, including Israel.

The management of the future park, expected to open at the end of the current decade, says that it will combine Disney's iconic stories and characters with the cultural richness, architecture, and beaches of Abu Dhabi, using advanced technologies.

The project will offer a wide range of hospitality and entertainment experiences, including unique hotels, shopping complexes, restaurants and creative stories that characterize the super brand.

The First of Its Kind in Europe: Universal UK
Bedford, United Kingdom

The most talked-about resort and park from entertainment giant Universal is still under construction. Universal United Kingdom Resort will be built in Bedford, just 45 minutes from London by train, and will be the company's first park in Europe and one of the largest tourism projects in the history of the continent. The park was built at a cost of 5 billion pounds.

The vast complex will include a theme park with several themed areas based on well-known Universal brands and films, a 500-room hotel, restaurants, shops and an "entertainment city" like in parks in the US.

The official opening is planned for 2031, and according to estimates, about 8.5 million visitors are expected to visit it in its first year, with an expected revenue of about 50 billion pounds by 2055, along with 20,000 jobs. With its construction, access routes will also be upgraded by renewing tracks and train stations.
