The new route, which began operating on June 26, 2026, runs four times a week and takes approximately 15 to 16 hours. It expands EVA Air's North American network and offers travelers from the Washington, D.C. region, as well as passengers connecting from across the United States and Canada, easier access to Bangkok and other Thai destinations via Taipei.

EVA Air currently operates up to 32 weekly flights between Bangkok and Taipei during its Summer 2026 schedule, with a flight time of around four hours. The airline also offers direct services from Taipei to Chiang Mai and Phuket, providing convenient connections to northern and southern Thailand.

"The new Washington DC–Taipei service strengthens one-stop access to Thailand from an important U.S. gateway," said Chompu Marusachot, Director of the TAT New York Office. She added that improved air connectivity plays a key role in attracting long-haul visitors interested in Thailand's culture, wellness, gastronomy, nature and authentic travel experiences.
