Photo: Royal Caribbean The cruise giant Royal Caribbean announced today (18.2) that the next ICON ship will arrive in the Mediterranean in the summer of 2026. This is the third ship in the most modern and largest ICON series in the world.
Royal Caribbean announced today that starting in the summer of 2026, a third ship in the ICON series, currently under construction in Finland, will sail for the first time from Rome and Barcelona already in the summer of 2026, with seven-night vacations in the western Mediterranean starting July 2026. The ship will bring with it all the technological innovations. Sales will begin this coming Thursday. The name of the third ship in the ICON series will be "Legend of the Seas".
The ship will travel between Western European countries - France, Italy, and Spain. Passengers will be able to disembark and enjoy tours at all the destinations where the ship docks.
Among the ship's attractions will be "Crown's Edge," a walkway on an arch, a rope course and thrill facility - and the largest water park at sea. The ship will house the largest pool at sea, called "Royal Bay", alongside an adults-only pool, a unique infinity pool hanging 15 stories above the ocean, six of the largest waterslides seen at sea, a transparent walkway over the water, a mini-golf course, climbing walls, 40 restaurants and pubs, new entertainment areas, family attractions, and more.
The ship has 20 floors, and eight different areas ranging from regular rooms to a family neighborhood spread across three floors, designed for young families, with activities and accommodation options, including the ultimate three-story "Family House" with redesigned spaces for the whole family. In November 2026, the ship will move to Miami for an inaugural Caribbean cruise.

Sales will begin this Thursday at Sanorama and with all travel agents across the country.
