Air Seychelles is opening a new route between Seychelles and Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Etihad Airways.
The airline Air Seychelles announced the opening of a new route that will connect Seychelles (SEZ) with Abu Dhabi (AUH). The new route will begin operating on May 23, running six days a week - on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
This move will allow for more convenient connections for travelers from Abu Dhabi, with the option to fly via Etihad Airways (EY) under Air Seychelles (HM) ticket and pricing. Additionally, it will be possible to combine a direct Air Seychelles flight one way, thereby creating flexibility in planning the stay in Seychelles.
For example can fly directly to from Seychelles to Abu Dhabi (HM 018) on June 23, departing at 20:30 and landing in Abu Dhabi at 01:05 am.
Air Seychelles flights are operated as full-service and include up to 30 kg of checked baggage and carry-on baggage weighing up to 6 kg. Additionally, passengers will enjoy a hot meal, soft drinks, and a personal streaming system for smartphones.
In December 2024, a codeshare agreement was signed between the two companies, allowing customers to fly under one reservation between all Etihad destinations and Mahe, Seychelles, via Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport. The collaboration includes six weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Mahe, starting from May 2025.
Additionally, in January 2025, Air Seychelles renewed its flights to Israel after a two-and-a-half-month break and began operating two weekly flights on the Mahe-Tel Aviv route. One of the flights, on Wednesdays, also continues to Mauritius Airport.
The opening of the new route presents an opportunity for travelers to enjoy a more convenient and flexible connection between Israel, Seychelles, and the United Arab Emirates.
