The national airline of Saudi Arabia, Saudia, announced the addition of more than ten new destinations opening from April 2025, as part of a network expansion plan that currently includes over 100 destinations. The new destinations will be added mainly from the home base in Jeddah, but also from the secondary center in Riyadh.
Among the new destinations from Jeddah: Larnaca (Cyprus), Heraklion (Greece), Antalya (Turkey), El-Alamein (Egypt), Salalah (Oman), and Athens (Greece).
Photo: SHUTTERSTOCK From Riyadh, destinations like Malaga (Spain), Venice (Italy), Nice (France), and also Vienna (Austria) will be added. The flights to Vienna and Athens will be operated from both Riyadh and Jeddah.
Additionally, a Route to Denpasar in Indonesia, a very popular destination for travelers from the Middle East, will be opened.
The competition in the aviation sector in Saudi Arabia is intensifying, with the expected imminent entry of the Riyadh Air airline, which recently ordered dozens of Dreamliner aircraft (Boeing 787).
