The Leonardo chain continues to expand in Italy with the acquisition of Hotel dei Borgia, which has been renamed to Leonardo Boutique Hotel Rome Monti.
With the addition of the new hotel in Rome, the resort brand of the Israeli Fattal Hotels network now operates nine hotels in Italy.
Moreover, the subsidiary network Master Collection recently launched another hotel in Rome, and the NYX Hotel Rome is undergoing comprehensive renovations, expected to reopen in the summer of 2025.
The new hotel is located in the heart of the Monti district, one of Rome's oldest and most picturesque areas, a short distance from the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums. Iconic sites such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Termini railway station are also within walking distance.
The hotel features 80 meticulously designed rooms, a spacious breakfast area, two equipped meeting rooms, and a modern health complex with a sauna and jacuzzi. This combination makes it ideal for both business travelers and tourists seeking a unique hospitality experience.
According to Yoram Biton, CEO of Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, the Italian market is a key growth destination for the chain: "Italy is one of the most important countries for our group. With the opening of Leonardo Boutique Rome Monti, we are not only strengthening our presence in Rome, but also continuing our strategic investment in developing the Italian market. Special thanks to Tamar Cohen, the chain's legal advisor, for her significant contribution in coordinating the acquisition processes and business strategy."
Jan Heringa, Vice President of Development and Project Management at the chain, added: "The opening of Leonardo Boutique Rome Monti is another significant step in the network's development in Italy. The hotel strengthens our position in a central city like Rome, which serves as a global tourist attraction and an important business center. The hotel, located in the heart of the picturesque Monti district, offers the perfect combination of an attractive location and high-level services, making it an ideal choice for both leisure travelers and businesspeople."
