Hainan Airlines has marked a major milestone in its fleet modernization efforts after launching its brand-new Airbus A330neo on its Beijing–Manchester route, making the aircraft's maiden international commercial flight.
The inaugural service took off on July 15 from Beijing Capital International Airport and landed at Manchester Airport. The flight represents the first time the carrier's latest-generation widebody aircraft has entered scheduled international service.

Hainan Airlines has configured the aircraft with approximately 300 seats across Business and Economy Class cabins.
Manchester has become one of Hainan Airlines' most important European gateways over the past decade. The carrier currently operates direct services between Beijing and Manchester, providing a vital link for both business and leisure travelers between northern England and China.
The introduction of the A330neo is expected to further enhance the passenger experience on the route, thanks to quieter cabins, upgraded interiors, and more efficient operating economics. The aircraft also strengthens Hainan Airlines' position as competition for long-haul traffic between Europe and Asia continues to intensify.
