The luxury hotel chain W Hotels, part of the Marriott Bonvoy Group, is launching its first hotel in Saudi Arabia, W Riyadh KAFD, located in the heart of the King Abdullah Financial District, the new business and entertainment center of the kingdom's capital.
The new hotel has 210 rooms, including 17 suites, two penthouse suites and a luxurious 390-square-meter W Penthouse Suite, which includes two bedrooms, separate living and dining areas, a private gym and spa facilities.
The design, designed by LW Design, incorporates elements of Saudi culture, including traditional textiles, geometric patterns, and natural materials reminiscent of the country's desert and mountain landscapes.
The hotel’s main lobby features a six-meter-high artwork by Saudi artist Abdulnasser Gram, alongside social spaces designed for meetings, work and leisure. The W Lounge also draws inspiration from Bedouin hospitality traditions, with circular seating areas and low tables reminiscent of traditional guest houses.
W Riyadh offers several new culinary destinations in the city. Sira serves Latin American-inspired cuisine with open-fire cooking, Beni Café offers specialty coffee and handcrafted ice cream, and WET Deck features Mediterranean-style poolside dining and private cabanas. Sahari, an outdoor nightspot with live performances and social events, is also expected to open later this year.
The hotel also features AWAY Spa, FIT fitness center, and 15 meeting rooms and a ballroom for business and social events. The opening of the hotel marks W Hotels’ first entry into the Saudi market and strengthens Marriott’s position in the luxury and lifestyle hotel segment in the Middle East.
