An unusual incident occurred this evening at Ben Gurion Airport when three passengers were arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance aboard a Lufthansa aircraft, which was preparing to depart from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt, and even attacked police officers who were called to the scene.<\/p>
According to a police statement, the airline's crew reported to Ben Gurion police about three passengers behaving wildly, posing a danger to passengers and crew. Officers arrived at the plane within minutes after receiving the report.<\/p>
PassportNews learned that the suspects, two brothers from Jaffa, aged 25 and 26, and their 17-year-old friend from Bat Yam, refused to disembark despite demands from the aircrew and police. Consequently, officers boarded the plane and arrested them for questioning.<\/p>
According to police, during the arrest, the three attacked the officers, who had to use reasonable force to complete the arrest. During the arrest, one suspect told a policewoman: "I wish for you officers the 7th of October." <\/strong><\/p> In the incident, four officers and two police volunteers were injured, with reports that they were bitten by the suspects, and they were taken for medical treatment.<\/p>
Police spokesperson stated, "In accordance with the investigation's needs and findings, the three will be brought to court tomorrow for a hearing to extend their detention."<\/p>
