"I did it! YES!!" Schwärzler wrote. "So stoked that my new World's First Jumping from a Hot Air Balloon finally worked out and I couldn't be happier!"

The athlete launched from a platform suspended beneath a hot air balloon before descending toward the ground on his mountain bike.

The stunt, which took place in Bulgaria on July 22, required months of planning and involved a team of engineers, safety experts, and production crews. Schwärzler also thanked his sponsors and partners for supporting the project.

"Cheers to everyone who was involved and supported the project," he wrote. "Especially thanks to my whole team and the main partners for making it happen."

The Austrian rode his bike off the top of the balloon at an altitude of 2,500 meters and was seen performing several front flips before eventually deploying his parachute.

Schwärzler is no stranger to pushing the limits of what is possible on two wheels. The Austrian has built a global following through his record-breaking cycling challenges and extreme mountain biking content, regularly attracting millions of views across social media platforms.

The latest achievement adds another chapter to his career and highlights the growing popularity of extreme sports content, where athletes continue to seek new and innovative ways to captivate audiences around the world.

Additional details, including behind-the-scenes footage and information about the jump, are expected to be released in the coming days.

For now, however, Schwärzler can celebrate claiming what appears to be one of the most unusual cycling records ever attempted: becoming the first person to successfully jump a bicycle from a hot air balloon.
