To celebrate the opening, Lufthansa has planned a series of special activities on August 1, including photo opportunities with airline mascot Lu, discounts at the Worldshop, and access to a flight simulator. Guests will also be able to watch "We Are the Journey," a documentary marking Lufthansa's anniversary, before it becomes available on Lufthansa's long-haul inflight entertainment system in September.

Developed in partnership with design agency Atelier Brückner, the experience also addresses Lufthansa's role during the National Socialist era, acknowledging one of the darkest periods in the company's history.

Lufthansa says visitors will eventually be able to explore the interior of the Super Star, while the Ju 52 will occasionally open its cabin during special events.
Hangar One also features a café, a gift shop with exclusive aviation merchandise, and a dedicated children's audio guide accessible via smartphone QR codes.

Lufthansa plans to make the bar aboard the Lockheed Super Star available for exclusive rentals beginning in 2027.
With its mix of aviation history, interactive technology, and educational exhibits, Hangar One aims to become a new destination for travelers and aviation fans visiting Frankfurt.
