Photo: Shutterstock The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has highlighted another unusual airport security discovery, revealing that officers intercepted knives hidden beneath a child's seat at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport.
In a social media post shared on July 28, 2026, the agency said the passenger had attempted to bring the items onto an aircraft by taping them to the seat.
"Knives belong in checked bags, not taped to a child's seat being carried onto a plane," the TSA wrote. "The passenger thought they had a sharp hiding spot. Our officers at Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport quickly put an end to this dull idea."
The incident serves as a reminder that prohibited items should not be packed in carry-on baggage or concealed in an attempt to bypass airport security procedures.
TSA frequently uses social media to share unusual finds made during passenger screening or answer some of the internet's strangest travel questions, from whether it is OK to pack taxidermy raccoons, potatoes, or pugs.
