Flydubai Expands in Italy.

Flydubai, the airline from the UAE, is expanding its operations in Italy by increasing flights to two key destinations in the country.

The company announced that starting from July 27, it will operate daily flights between Dubai and Naples, while also doubling the frequency of flights to Milan-Bergamo to twice daily from July 31.

The move comes as Italian tourism ministry data released yesterday place the country at the top of Europe for occupancy rates and demand, with the lakes region, Northern Italy, and Sicily leading.

This expansion responds to the rising demand for flights during the winter, aiming to enhance connectivity between the UAE and Italy. The expanded service will feature two daily flights to Milan-Bergamo, daily flights to Naples, thrice-weekly flights to Catania, and seasonal flights to Olbia in Sardinia.

Between November 1 and November 30, 2026, due to planned maintenance at Naples International Airport, flights will be temporarily redirected to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Cilento Airport. Passengers who have already booked flights to Naples will be automatically transferred to the alternate flights without needing to change their reservations.

The service to Naples is expected to return to the original airport starting December 1, 2026.

The flights to Naples and Milan-Bergamo are operated as part of a codeshare with Emirates, allowing passengers to enjoy a combined booking, a single ticket for the entire journey, and baggage transfer to the final destination.

In line with its Italy expansion, the company continues to grow its destination network, having recently launched new routes to Aleppo in Syria, Bangkok in Thailand, and Benghazi in Libya. Direct flights to Pokhara, Nepal, are set to commence on September 23.

Notably, the company recently announced the resumption of its Dubai to Budapest route, starting with three weekly flights and expanding to daily flights in the winter season.
