flydubai Expands Routes to Italy's In-Demand Destinations

flydubai, the airline from the United Arab Emirates, is expanding its operations in Italy by increasing the frequency of flights to two key destinations in the country.

The company announced that starting July 27, it will operate daily flights between Dubai and Naples, and simultaneously increase its flights to Milan-Bergamo to twice daily starting July 31.

According to data from the Italian Tourism Ministry released yesterday, Italy is leading Europe in occupancy rates and demand, with the lake regions, Northern Italy, and Sicily at the forefront.

This move comes amid rising demand for flights during the winter season and is expected to expand the connectivity options between the UAE and Italy. As part of the expanded operations, the airline will operate two daily flights to Milan-Bergamo, daily flights to Naples, three weekly flights to Catania, and seasonal flights to Olbia in Sardinia.

From November 1 to November 30, 2026, due to planned maintenance work at Naples International Airport, flights will be temporarily relocated to Salerno Costa D'Amalfi and Cilento Airport. Passengers who have already booked flights to Naples will automatically be transferred to the alternative flights, with no need for changes in their booking.

Flights to Naples are expected to resume at the original airport starting December 1, 2026.

The flights to Naples and Milan-Bergamo operate under the code-sharing arrangement between flydubai and Emirates, enabling passengers to enjoy combined booking, a single ticket for the entire journey, and baggage transfer to the final destination.

Alongside expanding operations in Italy, the company continues to expand its destination network, having recently launched new routes to Aleppo in Syria, Bangkok in Thailand, and Benghazi in Libya. Direct flights to Pokhara in Nepal are expected to start on September 23.

It should be noted that two days ago, the company announced the renewal of the route from Dubai to Budapest, with three weekly flights initially and expansion to daily flights for the winter season.
