Duffy said the project will bring "stunning architecture, brand new concourses, efficient security screenings, hundreds of new flights, [and] thousands of new parking spots," while preserving the airport's iconic main terminal.

The announcement signals a significant expansion and modernization effort at one of the United States' busiest international gateways. While detailed timelines and investment figures have not yet been released, officials said the upgrades are intended to accommodate future passenger growth and improve the overall travel experience.
Washington Dulles International Airport, located in Virginia and serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, is known for its distinctive terminal designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen. The airport has undergone several expansions since opening in 1962, but the latest plans appear to represent one of its most ambitious modernization projects to date.
President Trump, quoted by Duffy in the announcement, described the future of the airport simply: "It will be beautiful."
The planned improvements are expected to include expanded passenger facilities, increased flight capacity, upgraded security infrastructure, and additional parking availability as part of a broader effort to usher in what administration officials have called a new "Golden Age of Travel."
