Air France continues to expand its operations in the Caribbean, opening a new direct route between Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, and Panama City. The route will begin operations on December 11, 2026 and will operate twice weekly until March 5, 2027.

The flights will be operated within the framework of Air France's regional network in the Caribbean (Réseau Régional Caraïbes), using Airbus A320 aircraft based in Guadeloupe. The schedules have been designed to also allow passengers arriving from Martinique and French Guiana to easily connect to flights to Panama.

The new line will be operated in collaboration with Copa Airlines , and will allow passengers to continue on connecting flights to a wide variety of destinations in Central and South America, while transferring their luggage to the final destination.

Air France notes that the move strengthens the company's position in the Caribbean and expands connectivity options for residents of Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana to the Americas. In addition, the opening of the route is expected to strengthen the position of Guadeloupe Marie Conde Airport as a regional hub, with new connection options also to Latin America and the West Coast of the United States.

The new route joins the expansion of Air France's regional network in recent years, which also included the opening of routes to Belem and Fortaleza in Brazil, alongside the strengthening of long-haul routes to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
