Photo: Alon Barhoum The luxury lounges at Ben Gurion Airport are welcoming a new player: Layam, part of the Teddy Sagi Group, and Jetex from the United Arab Emirates, have today (Monday, August 10) launched the first of two new VIP lounges in Terminal 3.
The two lounges are expected to cover an area of approximately 620 square meters, with the first lounge, which opened today, covering approximately 250 square meters and located in the duty-free complex, next to the synagogue. The second lounge, covering an area of approximately 370 square meters, is expected to open in the coming months.

Photo: Alon BarhoumJetex, which operates luxury lounges and private airport terminals in more than 40 destinations around the world, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Paris and Singapore, is bringing its design and hospitality standards to Ben Gurion Airport.
The lounge was designed by Studio Michael Azoulay, together with Yaara Guner, an architect from the Teddy Sagi Group. The space was designed in warm earth tones and a combination of wood, stone, brass and vegetation, alongside soft lighting and diagonal lines on the ceiling and carpentry designed to create a sense of space and movement.
The lounge includes seating areas, quiet work areas, charging stations, Wi-Fi, and partitions that create intimate areas. In addition, business meetings can be held there.
The menu in the lounge is led by Chef Eitan Mizrahi, formerly the chef of the Royal Beach Hotel in Tel Aviv, with a menu based on Israeli cuisine. Alongside the food, desserts by pastry chef Dudo Otmazgin will be offered, as well as Nespresso coffee and a bar with a variety of international alcohol brands.
At the same time, Layam and Jetex are establishing a digital customer club that will allow passengers to order services, track flight times, and accumulate benefits.

Additionally, American Express Premium Cardholders are entitled to free entry, subject to club terms and conditions and presentation of the physical card.
Business class passengers of certain foreign airlines operating at Ben Gurion Airport, including Etihad, British Airways and Air France, will also be able to enjoy free entry.
Other eligible beneficiaries include members of the Medical Association and other institutional bodies that collaborate with the group.
For those who are not eligible for free admission, the lounge is also open for a one-time admission fee of $100 per person.

Photo: Alon BarhoumLast year, Layam and Jetex won the Airports Authority's tender to operate the two lounges at Ben Gurion Airport, after beating out the Fattal Group and Aviapartner. The concession was granted for six years, with the option of an extension for an additional three years.
