The Institute of Geosciences at the University of Panama reported an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2, according to preliminary data, later measured at 7.4

The earthquake occurred today, August 10, 2026, at 07:34:29 local time. The depth of the epicenter was measured at 76 kilometers, and it was located in Colombian territory, about 350 kilometers southeast of Jaca, Panama.
