Starting September 21, 2026, the airline will operate seven flights per week between Delhi (DEL) and Guangzhou (CAN), giving travelers a daily connection between the two cities.
Melbourne. Photo: ShutterstockFrom Guangzhou, passengers will be able to continue to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Darwin on China Southern services.
The airline will operate 14 weekly flights from Guangzhou to Sydney, while Melbourne will receive 10 weekly services. Brisbane will have seven flights per week.
For travelers heading to Western Australia, China Southern will operate three weekly flights from Guangzhou to Perth. Adelaide will also receive three weekly services, while Darwin will be served once a week.
The new connection provides travelers from Delhi with an additional option for reaching Australia through Guangzhou, rather than relying solely on traditional connecting hubs.
China Southern is promoting the new service as an opportunity for passengers to explore several Australian cities, highlighting attractions including Sydney's Taronga Zoo, Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens and Brisbane's Mount Coot-tha Lookout.

With daily Delhi–Guangzhou flights and multiple weekly connections onward to Australia's major cities, the schedule could offer greater flexibility for travelers planning trips across Australia.
The new service also further strengthens Guangzhou's role as a connecting point between South Asia and Australia within China Southern's international network.
