Air India has completed a major maintenance milestone for its Airbus A350 fleet, finishing all six planned A350-900 C-checks nearly a month ahead of schedule.
The airline described the comprehensive inspections as a first for its A350 fleet and highlighted the work of its engineering and maintenance teams.
C-checks are among the most extensive forms of scheduled aircraft maintenance, involving detailed inspections and checks across an aircraft. Completing all six planned inspections ahead of schedule represents a significant operational milestone for Air India.
The airline said the achievement provides a benchmark for safety, quality and technical excellence, underscoring the importance of maintenance capabilities as its wide-body fleet continues to expand.
Air India's A350-900 aircraft form part of the carrier's ongoing fleet modernization program. The airline's current network includes long-haul services operated with its newer aircraft, while the carrier continues to develop its international operations.
Completing the six C-checks also highlights Air India's efforts to build and strengthen its in-house engineering and maintenance capabilities. For a long-haul aircraft such as the A350-900, comprehensive maintenance checks are essential to maintain aircraft reliability and ensure planes remain compliant with required safety standards.
Earlier this week, Air India also voluntarily launched a testing program covering all of its pilots. The company went beyond existing regulatory requirements, reinforcing its safety and professional standards.
