American Airlines is refreshing its onboard experience with a new selection of complimentary inflight snacks for Main Cabin passengers, adding more sweet and savory options based on customer feedback and testing.
The updated lineup is designed to reflect how passengers snack at different times of the day while giving travelers greater variety during their flights. Customers will begin seeing the new offerings on select flights in early October 2026.
Biscoff Remains a Morning Favorite
Passengers traveling on morning flights will continue to receive the popular Biscoff cookie, which American says remains a customer favorite, particularly when served alongside Lavazza coffee.
The airline is also adding Goldfish to its morning snack selection, giving passengers the option of combining a sweet favorite with a savory choice.

American Airlines Chief Customer Officer Heather Garboden said the airline focused on customer feedback when developing the updated snack selection.
She emphasized that familiar touches can play an important role in the travel experience, while the airline also wanted to introduce new choices.
The refreshed selection combines established favorites with additional sweet and savory options, with American describing the approach as familiar while providing an elevated inflight experience.
More Changes Planned for the Inflight Experience
The new snack selection is part of American Airlines' broader effort to enhance its onboard offering.
The airline has recently announced other premium dining improvements, including centennial-inspired inflight menus celebrating 100 years of flight and new California wines being introduced onboard.
American also says its snack selection will not remain fixed. The offerings will rotate over time as the airline continues collecting customer feedback and responding to passenger preferences.
