Photo: © 2026 Hilton Hilton is expanding its luxury footprint in Latin America with the signing of Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts, marking the brand's debut in Costa Rica. The resort is expected to open in 2029 on a nearly 40-acre beachfront estate in Manuel Antonio.

Photo: © 2026 HiltonThe property will stretch from a rainforest ridge to around 650 feet of Pacific Ocean beachfront, offering views of the ocean, mountains and surrounding rainforest. It will feature 173 accommodations, combining hotel rooms and private bungalows with 116 fully furnished branded residences.

The seven-story hotel will include 57 accommodations, including 42 ocean-view guest rooms and 15 private hillside bungalows. Each bungalow will feature a private plunge pool and Pacific sunset views.

The project marks the debut of LXR Residences in Latin America and will offer residence owners Hilton Honors Diamond status and exclusive benefits across Hilton's luxury portfolio.
Architecture firm Carazo Arquitectura designed the project around the site's natural topography, while Chicago-based Curioso is responsible for the interiors. Natural stone, warm wood and large glass walls will emphasize the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Maravé Manuel Antonio will feature a beachfront Beach Club with multiple pools, oceanfront dining, signature bars, cabanas and poolside lounges.

The resort will also include the MARAVÉ Speakeasy Bar, featuring cocktails incorporating Costa Rican botanicals.
A spa and wellness sanctuary, fitness center and family activity club will add further facilities for guests and residents.
Pablo Maturana, Hilton's vice president for Development, Architecture, Design and Construction in the Caribbean and Latin America, said Costa Rica represents an important growth market for Hilton, driven by demand for high end, nature immersed travel.
The project forms part of Hilton's broader expansion across the region. Hilton currently has more than 315 hotels in more than 35 countries and territories across the Caribbean and Latin America, with more than 150 additional properties in its pipeline.
Residential sales are expected to launch in fall 2026, with construction anticipated to finish in late 2028 ahead of the resort's planned 2029 opening.
