Passengers planning to fly today, Friday, September 4, in Argentina are asked to monitor flight status, following protest measures by employees of the country's Civil Aviation Authority.
According to an official announcement from the Argentine Civil Aviation Authority, ANAC, the protest measures announced by the ATE ANAC workers' organization will take place on September 3 and 4 in two time windows: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, local time in Argentina.
ANAC clarified that commercial aviation is defined in the country as an essential service and, under the law, at least 75% of the normal service level must be maintained during labor disputes.
The Authority announced that it will monitor compliance with the requirement during the hours of the sanctions, aiming to maintain the continuity of air activity and minimize the impact on scheduled flights as much as possible.
According to the official announcement, most airline services are expected to operate as usual, but during the hours of the sanctions, there may be delays or local changes to flight schedules.
The impact on each flight may vary depending on the operational conditions and services provided at each airport.
The sanctions are taking place today at:
-09:00-12:00 Argentina time
-18:00-21:00 Argentina time
Outside of the time windows in which protest measures are taking place, ANAC expects normal operation of the relevant airport services.
ANAC recommends that passengers who are scheduled to fly during the sanctions hours check the flight status with the airline in advance and continue to monitor announcements and possible schedule changes.
