Athens International Airport has honored Israir with the prestigious "Fastest-Growing Airline in the Middle East" title, recognizing its remarkable expansion in the region.
Israir CEO Uri Sirkis personally accepted the award at a high-profile ceremony in Athens last weekend, which garnered extensive coverage in Greek media.
Sirkis highlighted the airline’s impressive growth, stating: “Israir has seen rapid expansion in Athens and the Greek islands. In just two years, we have doubled our passenger numbers, reaching over 350,000 in 2024. Our ambitious goal for next year is to exceed half a million passengers. This success is driven by our dedicated team, a stronger brand presence, and an expanding fleet.”
