Goma Hotel. Photo: Sivan Askew The Isrotel Hotel chain is expanding its green-hotel activities: The chain has signed a broad collaboration with energy company Doral Urban, part of the Doral Energy Group, to implement energy storage facilities for self-consumption in five of its hotels.
The new systems will enable hotels to manage electricity consumption more intelligently and efficiently by storing energy and using it during ongoing operations. In addition, the facilities are expected to provide hotels with energy resilience and reduce their dependence on electricity during peak hours.
The move will be implemented at five Isrotel hotels: Mizpe HaYamim, Guma, Beresheet, HaCarmel Yaarot Mansion and the Orient Hotel in Jerusalem.
According to Isrotel, implementing storage systems is part of its commitment to promoting sustainable and responsible hotel management in Israel; alongside the environmental benefits, the system is also expected to improve operational efficiency and reduce electricity consumption.
