Ryanair launches a new route between Düsseldorf and Paphos, strengthening its position in the Cypriot tourist city.
The European low-cost airline Ryanair continues to expand its network of destinations from Paphos and announces a new route connecting Paphos Airport to Düsseldorf.
Starting in April 2025, Ryanair will operate two weekly flights between Paphos Airport and Düsseldorf Weeze, a move that will increase travel options between Cyprus and Germany and strengthen tourist and business ties between the countries.
Ryanair, considered the largest low-cost airline in Europe, operates a main base at Paphos Airport, from which many flights depart to key destinations in Europe. The launch of the new route to Düsseldorf joins the wide variety of destinations the company already flies to, including the UK, Italy, Poland, Greece, and more.
Paphos, located in the southwest of Cyprus, is regarded as one of the most developing tourist cities on the island. The city enjoys a rich history, stunning archaeological sites, enchanting beaches, and pleasant weather year-round, making it a sought-after destination for travelers from Europe and beyond.
In recent years, Paphos has experienced a significant surge in tourism after being selected as the European Capital of Culture – a title that led to the development of advanced tourist infrastructures, upgrading key attractions, and investing in cultural events.

The opening of the new route to Düsseldorf will contribute to strengthening the flow of tourists between Cyprus and Germany, and will enable German vacationers easier access to Paphos, as well as Cypriot tourists to reach Germany's seventh-largest city.
Additionally, this move supports Ryanair's expansion trend in Paphos and positions the city as an important tourism and aviation hub in the Eastern Mediterranean.
