Major Milestone: Airline Expands Train + Air Bookings Across Entire Network at Busy European Airport

Air France and SNCF Voyageurs are expanding their Train + Air partnership, allowing passengers to combine an Air France flight with a train journey in a single booking across the entire OUIGO network serving Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The expansion takes effect today, September 21, and gives travelers more options for reaching Air France’s main Paris hub by train before continuing their journey by air.

The Train + Air service has been running between Air France and SNCF Voyageurs for more than 30 years. It is designed to link rail and air travel under one reservation, with passengers receiving protection if their train or flight is delayed or canceled.

If a disruption occurs, customers are guaranteed a seat on the next available train or flight at no extra cost. The journey can also be managed digitally, with online check-in available through Air France from 30 hours before departure. For flights to the United States, check-in opens 30 hours before departure as well.

The latest expansion follows a 2025 extension of Train + Air to OUIGO services connecting Paris with Aix-en-Provence TGV, Avignon TGV and Marseille-Saint-Charles.

"One of the Pillars of Air France's Strategy"

Air France said demand for the combined rail and air service has been rising. During the first six months of 2026, Train + Air traffic increased by 43% compared with the same period in 2025.

“Intermodal travel is one of the pillars of Air France’s strategy,” said Vincent Etchebehere, Air France’s VP of Sustainability and New Mobilities.

He said the expansion gives customers a wider choice of departure times while providing another way to reach the airline’s hub through an integrated rail and air journey.

OUIGO Managing Director Jérôme Laffon said the expansion combines the reach of the TGV INOUI and OUIGO networks with Air France’s international connections.

The partnership is aimed at making journeys to and from Paris airports easier to arrange, particularly for passengers starting their trip outside the capital.

Train + Air bookings are available through Air France’s booking channels and participating partner travel agencies. Passengers can arrange the rail and flight portions of their journey together rather than purchasing separate tickets for each part of the trip.
